A lot of people said that loneliness always connects with sorrow.
But for me, it isn't. I'm lonely and I'm happy about it.
Honestly, I just hate everyone. Those people who spent their days like they're going to die young are just not my type.
I kept on having those minds...until she came and changed my life.
Her name is Haruka. And she is the only friend I had. She always has a way to make me laugh and enjoy life better.
And now, I hope I can change, too.

My name is Haruka, Shirayuki Haruka. I'm 14 and I'm the one mentioned in that memo. Now I'm going to tell a story about a girl who struggles hard upon her lonely life.
Her name is Akihara Madoka. She's 14, like me, she's quite tall and wore white square glasses. She often wore her long brown hair to the back. When I first met her, she's very timid and cold, but she can make friends very easily. Both Madoka and I have a big interest on Vocaloids. She's an expert in piano. Oh, and she's the one writing the memo earlier.
I was her completely opposite. Even though our heights are the same. I often wear my long blonde hair to the sides. People said that I'm really kind-hearted, outgoing and fun. I'm also an expert on guitars and piano.
Enough for the introductions, then. Well, let the story started!

Monday, 8th November 2012.
I was a transfer student on Northcoast Junior High.
It was a really bright morning when I reached over my bicycle. I can felt as the sun was singing happily despite her being a bit covered by the clouds. The birds are doing the same too, among those big, colorful trees. Well, I just can't wait for some new experiences after I moved out from Bandung.
After a 15-minute ride, I'm finally there. The Northcoast Junior High, one of the best schools in Pennsylvania. I quickly parked my bike and rushed to find the principals room.
As I found it, I knocked on the door. "Come in?" A voice came out.
I gently pushed the door. There, sitting on the principals seat....was the principal, of course! He looked so calm in his forties.
"Excuse me, Sir. I'm a new student here. My name is Haruka Shirayuki." I let the words came out instantly from my mouth.
"Oh, you're the transfer student my assistant meant?" He said, smiling. "Come, let me show you your class." He stood up and walked outside. I quickly followed him.
After a 3-minute walk, he stopped. Turning towards me, he said, "This is your class, 8-3. Have fun!" Then he walked away.
"How weird," I thought. Taking a deep breath, I knocked the door. Knock. Knock.
"Come in!" A voice called.
I opened the door again. This time, it's a classroom consists of 29 people and a women, probably 28, with short black hair, stood up. The classroom looked so bright in light blue shades and black tables and chairs.
"Ah!" she smiled. "You're the transfer student, aren't you?"
"Yes!" I said, as I took some quick steps to the middle of the class.
I stood there, clearing my throat, and said, "My name is Haruka Shirayuki! I'm 14 and I'm a transfer from Bandung. I hope I can make friends with everyone here. Nice to meet you!"
The class became really quiet. Well, not really quiet. I could hear some "ssh-shh"s among them.
"Don't worry," the short black haired woman came to me. "They're just astonished from the way you introduced yourself. Not many students can do that."
She looked around. "Now you sit with.....her." She pointed to a long, brown haired girl in glasses on the front. "She looked so lonely from the beginning of the term. I hope you two can get along well."
I went to the seat beside her. "Hi," I smiled to her. But her face was stiff, scary.
What is she afraid of? Me?
"Oh, I'm sorry. Did I scare you?" I fixed my chair's position, facing forward.
"No." I turned, out of shock. Wait, what? She talked to me?
"You didn't scare me, of course," she said in a extremely low voice that I had to tilt my head towards her. "It's just that..."
"That what?" I was so confused.
"Well, gonna tell you on the break, then. My name's Madoka, anyway. Nice to meet you too, Haruka." She grinned.
Also smiled, I faced forward again, as the teacher (which later known as Ms. Mary) started to explain things like waves, vibration, and so on.

09.30.
The recess bell rang. Of all the 30 students in my class, only Madoka and I stayed in the class.
"What're you going to tell?" I turned my chair towards her.
"Well," she cleared her throat and started to speak in a normal volume. "There's a performance that held here this December. It was the result from the collaboration between the Music Club and the Drama Club. And I was wondering if you can..." She left a cliffhanger on her sentence.
"Play an instrument?" I guessed.
She stood up, clapping her hands. "Yees! That's it!" she shouted, laughing.
"But all I can play is just a piano and a guitar...," I said as I rubbed my ears. It hurts.
"That's okay!" She patted my shoulder. "You can do a duet with me!"
"Really~?!" I stood up too. "If that's your idea, what song we're going to play?"
"About that..." Madoka left a cliffhanger again as the bell rang again. RIING!
Is it just me or the recess time is going so short?

13.00.
As I walked home, a girl, probably a 9th grader, with long straight golden hair, bumped on me. I almost fell.
"Ah~ I'm sorry!" she said, helping me to stand up.
"That's okay!" I replied, grinning at her. "But why suddenly-"
"AHEM!" she cleared her throat. "Sorry to interrupt you. I'm Charlotte Hampton, and I'm the president of the Northcoast Junior High's Music Club. You must be Haruka Shirayuki, right? Would you like to join the music club?"
"Wait..." I thought for a while. "'Guess I'll say yes to both of them."
"OK! Now, as my new member, can I handle you this?"She handed an empty sketchbook to me. The covers were light yellow with a writing on the front:
"Northcoast's Winter Festival. 20.12.2012."
"I'm really sorry if I gave you too much responsibilities...can you finish it in 2 weeks?"
"Challenge accepted!" I said as I waved to her and rushed back home.
